Getting Familiar with Tier 1 Visa UK

Most applicants who wish to get a UK usually belong to the Tier 1 Post Study Work or Tier 2 UK Work Permit category. People under these categories usually come to UK to pursue a degree in college or get better education while there are some who wish to work after finishing their studies.

To get a Tier 1 visa UK, a certain individual must be able to meet the requirements and pass the English exam given by the UK immigration. Once passed, this individual may already enter UK.
When a student has already finished a course under the Post Study Work Visa Scheme (PSW) in any of the UK universities, he/she may be granted with a visa extension of 2 years. The Tier 1 Post Study Work was placed in the points based system allowing an individual to stay in UK and allow transition from being a student to a skilled or highly skilled worker. Students who have completed a postgraduate or undergraduate degree in renowned UK colleges may apply for a post-study job within 12 months after getting their qualification.

These post-study workers do not necessarily need to have a sponsor during the duration of their stay. Visa may last up to two years but during this time, the students must be able to move into another tier of point based system. But to be able to apply under the point based system, a student must be eligible and this will only happen if the student is able to pass the point-based assessment.
