Become an Independent business by offering an Internship!

An internship is a new style that incorporates an on-the-job learning experience. To many companies in the UK, the internship is a quality method of finding the staff you need for the job. The way in which an internship basically works, means you can take an employee and mould him or her to meet all of your requirements. The Method is a process that works on a very similar curriculum to the more common apprentice programme.

The Value of interns in the catering and hospitality industry is of a high level, as both parties can benefit from the experience. The business will benefit as they will increase their staff roster, and more work will be completed. Whilst the Intern will benefit from the aspect of on the job training, and will gain a crucial experience in the field they wish to build a career on. This can then lead them to become available for the many job opportunities in the UK today.

The J1 Internship programme –

The J1 Programme is a specialist Intern system, which enables interns to gather experience from across the world, whilst working in the one key industry. Participants in these programmes will make many contacts in the US and will learn of the different challenges different cultures will offer them within a trade.

The Programme is designed to develop the intern to an extent that they are ready to work in a world, where today an international and cross cultural understanding is relevant in all industries, especially in the catering world.
